Drive along the highway towards Via Cintura Andratx, should be a detour at the exit of Santa Ponsa in both modern and charming city not to be missed.
At the roundabout, just behind the exit, a restored mill markes the entrance to one of the most popular resorts on the island. The town has many bars, cafes, restaurants, shopping for daily needs and all service providers such as banks, doctors, etc. The tourist life pulsates in the streets around the bay, with its wide sandy beach an inviting place to enjoy extensive sunbathing. The delightful sight of the bay and the crystal-clear water is not at least based on foothills of the Serra de Tramuntana which reach to the water.
In recent years, Santa Ponsa also became a popular location for golfers and boat owners. On the outskirts, uptown apartment complexes leave nothing to be desired. For golfers, three golf courses are available. Santa Ponsa I is accessible to the public, Santa Ponsa II & III are exclusively reserved for club members.
The exclusive Santa Ponsa Country Club & Spa offers its members a variety of opportunities in the area of fitness and wellbeing and gastronomy. Boat owners also feel well both in the Club Nautico Yacht Harbour in Santa Ponsa as the yacht harbour of Port Adriano , located in the neighbouring village of El Toro. Port Adriano at present is significantly expanded and then also offers large yachts moorings and a variety of new premises. |
